Leptospermum (family Myrtaceae) A genus of evergreen bushes or small trees whose leaves are small, spiral, and sessile. The flowers are solitary. The fruit is a capsule. There are about 30 species, occurring from Malaya to New Zealand and the Caroline Islands, but most are found in Australia, where they are known as tea-trees.
