Leptobramidae (beach salmon; subclass Actinopterygii, order Perciformes) A monospecific family (Leptobrama muelleri) of marine and brackish-water fish that have a deep and compressed body 30 cm long, fairly small eyes, a short dorsal fin placed above the anal fin, and a large mouth. It is found only in the coastal waters of New Guinea and tropical Australia.
