Leccinum (order Boletales) A genus of fungi in which the fruit bodies are mushroom-shaped and the hymenium lines tubes opening by pores on the underside of the cap. The cap surface is dry, not slimy; and the stipe is long and covered with lines or scales which darken with age. There are many species, found on the ground in association with trees.
