infradian rhythm
infradian rhythm A biorhythm whose periodicity is less than a day in length. Numerous cellular processes have a rhythmicity of less than 24 hours, although whether these infradian rhythms of cell function are entrained with any environmental cues is often hard to establish. See also biological clock.
