Bonnetiaceae A family of shrubs and small trees, closely related to Theaceae, in which the leaves are simple, without stipules. The flowers are pentamerous, with many stamens, and a superior ovary of 3 or 5 fused carpels. The fruit is a capsule. There are 3 genera, with 22 species, occurring in the tropics of Asia and America.
