MILLER, MARTIN RUDOLF
MILLER, MARTIN RUDOLF (1899–1969), Czech actor, who from 1939 worked in England. Miller (né Rudolf Muller) was born in Kremsier, Czechoslovakia, started his career in Vienna, and made his last appearance in Berlin at the Jewish Culture Theater in 1939. In London he appeared in Awakeand Sing (1942) and in 1,000 performances of The Mousetrap (1952). In New York he was in The Mad Woman of Chaillot (1949) and The Magnolia Street Story (1951). Miller was noted for his portrayal of elderly Jews.
