Levi, Rino (1901–65). Brazilian Modernist architect. He designed the first large International style apartment-building, the Columbus block, São Paulo (1928–32). Later works include the UFA Art Palacio Cinema (1936), and the Central Cancer Hospital (1948), both in São Paulo. He adopted Brutalism in the 1960s, as in the Parahyba Dairies, São João dos Campos (1963–7), and the Santo André Civic Centre, São Paulo (1965).
