Tanjur
Tanjur (bstan.ʾgyur, ‘translated doctrine’). The secondary part of the Tibetan Buddhist canon complementing the Kanjur, and which comprises all treatises (Skt., śāstra) and commentaries on Buddhist doctrine available in Tibet prior to the 1959 Chinese invasion. The collection numbers many hundreds of volumes. See further TRIPIṬAKA.
