Karma-kāṇḍa

Karma-kāṇḍa (Skt.). The division, or practical part, of the Vedas which refers to religious duties, ritual, and actions; as opposed to the jñānakāṇḍa of the Vedānta which deals with philosophical knowledge. Pūrvamīmāṃsā is concerned with karma-kāṇḍa.
