Hussain, Mamnoon
Mamnoon Hussain, 1940–, Pakistani political leader and businessman. An ally of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, he joined the Pakistan Muslim League–Nawaz and briefly served (1999) as governor of Sindh prov. In July, 2013, he was elected to succeed Asif Ali Zardari as president, a largely ceremonial post.
