Last Military Actions of the Revolution
LAST MILITARY ACTIONS OF THE REVOLUTION. Several battles are claimed as the last of the American Revolution: Blue Licks, 19 August 1782; Wheeling, 10-11 September 1782; and Johns Island, South Carolina, 4 November 1782. Additionally, a battle between some militia led by John Siever and the Chickamauga Cherokee at Lookout Mountain (near modern Chattanooga) on 20 September 1782 is often called the last military action of the Revolution.
