Born November 18, 1969, in Panama City, Panama; daughter of Jose Mercedes (a carpenter) and Daphne (a nurse) Vega; stepdaughter of Leonard Rubin (a writer).

Career:

Actress. Performed as a member of the singing group Pajama Party; also performed with the comedy troupe El Barrio, including appearance at Caroline's Comedy Club, New York City. Worked as a sculptor's model and assistant.
