Career: Actress. Won the Metropolitan Opera Auditions, singing opera and concerts with the Metropolitan Opera National Company; also appeared with New York City Opera, Young Concert Artists, and New York Philharmonic; the Drama Department, founding member.

Awards, Honors: Antoinette Perry Award nomination, best actress in a featured role—musical, 1985, for The King and I; Obie Awards, Village Voice, all 1995, for Missing Persons, The Naked Truth, and A Cheever Evening; Outer Critic Circle Award nomination, outstanding featured actress in a musical, 2003, for Nine; Joseph Jefferson Award nomination, solo performance, 2006, for M. Proust.
