Original name, Diane Heidkrueger; born July 15, 1976, in Algermissen, near Hildesheim, West Germany (now Germany); daughter of Hans-Heinrich (a computer specialist) and Maria-Theresa (a bank employee) Heidkrueger; married Guillaume Canet (an actor, director, and writer), September 1, 2001. Education: Trained with Royal Ballet, London.
