Born February 2, 1939 (some sources cite 1941), in Lancashire, England; immigrated to Canada; married Zal Yanovsky (a musician and restaurateur; divorced, 1968); children: Zoe. Education: Attended the University of Toronto.

Career: Actress, director, and writer. Missouri Repertory Theatre, member of company, 1977–78; appeared with the Straw Hat Players, at Crest Theatre, Manitoba Theatre Centre, Toronto Dance Theatre, and Stratford Festival of Canada, Stratford, Ontario, Canada; appeared in productions at Chesterfield Civic Repertory Theatre in England and the Shaw Festival, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada; and at alternative theatres such as Theatre Second Floor, Toronto Workshop Productions, and Toronto Free Theatre.
