South Carolina Association for Financial Professionals Certified Treasury Professional Scholarships (Professional Development/Scholarship)
Purpose: To establish an additional scholarship award for students to obtain Treasury Professional certification. Focus: Finance. Qualif.: Applicants must be employed in South Carolina; must be prepared to lead the treasury and finance profession in pursuit of excellence. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on their performance and demonstrated interest in the field of treasury and finance.
Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicants must complete the application form; must submit a one page summary of specific treasury qualifications; must provide resume of work history; must provide a three-to-five page, double-spaced discussion document based on the latest developments in the Treasury Management field and why they should be awarded the scholarship.
South Carolina Association for Financial Professionals College Education Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and discussion of legislative, regulatory, and banking issues and developments and the opportunity to network with other Treasury Management professionals; to award an academic scholarship to an outstanding undergraduate student pursuing a degree in business in the areas including, but not limited to, accounting, economics, finance, business administration and management. Focus: Finance. Qualif.: Applicants must be South Carolina residents; must be U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents; must earn a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and a GPA in their major area of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale; must be enrolled as degree-seeking students at eligible South Carolina public or independent (private) institutions; must not be current recipients of a full-tuition scholarship. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on their academic performance.
Funds Avail.: $1,000. Number Awarded: 2-5. To Apply: Applicants must complete the application form; must submit a one page summary of academic achievement including the applicant's GPA (overall and major area) and a list of all relevant courses in the Treasury Management field; must submit a letter of recommendation from their major field faculty member; must provide a three-to-five page, double-spaced discussion of the Treasury Management field.
