International Grenfell Association Bursary (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To support the education of students with financial need who have been accepted into or are currently attending a post-secondary education institution. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be a Canadian citizen in the IGA region (must have graduated from a high school within the region); must not already possess a post-secondary degree; and must complete at least four courses per semester. Criteria: Selection will be based on the committee’s criteria.
Funds Avail.: Varies. To Apply: Application forms and information can be obtained from the Grenfell Scholarship Committee or may be obtained online. International Grenfell Association Secondary/High School Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To support the education of high achievers who are planning to pursue college education. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be Canadian citizens residing in the IGA region; must be in regular attendance at high schools in the IGA region; must have achieved superior results in the previous year’s final exams and the current year’s midterms; must complete Level III examinations achieving grades consistent with previous attainment; must be eligible for entrance to a university; and must have taken a full course load (normally a minimum of 5 courses per semester). Criteria: Selection will be based on the committee’s criteria.
Funds Avail.: $6,000. To Apply: Applications must be completed by the student and returned to the principal on or before the deadline. Application form can be downloaded online. Deadline: February 15. Contact: Mr. Paul Canning at the above address (see entry 3862).
International Grenfell Association University/College Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To support the education of high achievers and/or those with financial need who have completed one or more years of post-secondary education with one renewable scholarship. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be a Canadian citizen residing in the IGA region (must have graduated from a high school within the region); have completed one or more years of post-secondary education in a program leading to an undergraduate degree from a recognized university or diploma from a minimum of a three-year program at a recognized college; must achieve superior results in the current fall and winter semesters; must not already possess a post-secondary degree; and must undertake a full course load (minimum of 5 courses per semester). Criteria: Selection will be based on the committee’s criteria.
