Community Environment: Selma, population 35,000 enjoys a temperate climate. Railroad, bus and air service is available for the area. There are many churches in the city, as well as hospitals, a library, and theaters. Gulf beaches are only 180 miles away. Part-time employment is available. Major civic, fraternal and veteran's organizations are represented. A traditional Market Day is held in October.
