To provide financial assistance to high school seniors in Oregon who are children or grandchildren of members of Associated Oregon Loggers (AOL) and planning to major in a forest resource production field of study.

Eligibility Requirements: This program is open to high school seniors who are children or grandchildren of AOL regular members. Applicants must be planning to attend a 4-year college or university accredited by the Society of American Foresters to major in a forest resource production field of study, including forest management, forest engineering, and forest products. They must submit a statement of their educational and career goals, information on school and community activities, a list of honors and awards, and a description of their work experience. Eligibility Requirements: This program is open to Connecticut residents who are graduating high school seniors, currently enrolled in college, or graduate students. Applicants must be attending or planning to attend the University of Connecticut or another school accredited in forest management. Selection is based on financial need, academic record, and a personal statement on why the applicant in interested in forestry or forest management. Deadline for Receipt: March of each year. Additional Information: This program began in 1992. Recipients are expected to communicate in writing at least twice a year with the association, to provide an informal account of their progress and any special circumstances bearing on financial need. They must also arrange with their college for a copy of their semester grades to be forwarded to the association.
