Canadian Water Resources Association Scholarships (All/Scholarship)
Purpose: To raise awareness of the value of water; to promote responsible and effective water resource management in Canada. Focus: Water resources. Qualif.: Applicants must be members of the Canada Water Resources Association. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on academic excellence and project relevance to water management.
Funds Avail.: $1,500. Number Awarded: 3. To Apply: Applicants must provide a statement from the chairman/director of the department which verifies that the application is reflective of the project; a 500-word statement which outlines the applicant's research project and its relevance to sustainable water resources; official transcript of records; two references to be sent directly to the Scholarship Committee by the referees or appropriate official of the university or college; a statement from the program chairman or director endorsing the application from that program, including confirmation of the applicant's full-time registration; and completed application form. Deadline: February 29.
Ken Thomson Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To raise awareness of the value of water; to promote responsible and effective water resource management in Canada. Focus: Water resources. Qualif.: Applicant must be the second-highest ranked graduate student whose program of study focuses upon applied, natural or social science aspects of water resources; must be Canadian citizen or landed immigrant attending a Canadian University or college; must be enrolled in full-time graduate studies in any discipline. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on academic excellence and project relevance to water management and development.

To Apply: Applicants must provide a statement from the chairman/director of the department which verifies that the application is reflective of the project; a 500-word statement which outlines the applicant's research project and its relevance to sustainable water resources; official transcript of records; two references to be sent directly to the Scholarship Committee by the referees or appropriate official of the university or college; a statement from the program chairman or director endorsing the application from that program, including confirmation of the applicant's full-time registration; and completed application form.
