AFCEA Distance Learning/Online Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarship for the general public. Focus: Engineering; Mathematics; Physics; Communications; Electronics. Qualif.: Applicants must be U.S. citizens currently enrolled full time pursuing either a Bachelor of Science or Master's of Science degree through distance learning or online program (only a few second-year students only will be accepted). Criteria: Primary consideration will be given for academic excellence.

AFCEA Fellowships (Doctorate, Graduate/Fellowship)

Purpose: To support the development of engineers and technical personnel. Focus: Engineering; Physics; Mathematics; Electronics. Qualif.: Candidates must be US citizens with Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree; must be currently enrolled in a doctoral program at any accredited university in the United States. Criteria: Selection will be based on the submitted thesis.

AFCEA General John A. Wickham Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarship to the general public. Focus: Engineering; Mathematics; Physics; Communications; Electronics. Qualif.: Applicants must be US citizens; must have GPA of 3.5 on 4.0 scale. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on the committee's criteria.

AFCEA Math and Science Teachers Scholarships (Graduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To promote science, mathematics or information technology education at the US Secondary School. Focus: Science; Mathematics. Qualif.: Applicants must be degree seeking candidates; must be enrolled full time in an education curriculum of accredited college or university in the United States; must be U.S. citizens; and must be at least sophomores or juniors at the time of application (only a few second-year students only). For graduating students: at least two classes per semester are required. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on committee's review of eligibility and other criteria.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicants may apply online. Applicants must also submit transcript issued by the school Registrar's Office; and two letters of recommendation from relevant faculty. AFCEA Scholarship for Working Professionals (Graduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarship to those students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree while employed. Focus: Engineering; Mathematics; Physics; Communications. Qualif.: Applicants must be US citizens attending an accredited college or university in the United States as either a traditional or distance learning students, and majoring in electrical, chemical, systems or aerospace engineering; mathematics; physics; technical management; computer information systems; computer science or related fields; and must have an overall GPA of 3.4. For graduates, must have completed at least two postgraduate-level courses and are enrolled in an eligible degree-granting master's degree program. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on committee's review of applications.

William E. “Buck” Bragunier Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarship for the general public. Focus: Engineering; Mathematics; Physics; Communications; Electronics. Qualif.: Applicants must be at least second year college students; must be enrolled full time as sophomores or juniors at the time of application; must have an outstanding record of demonstrated leadership within

university or local community. Criteria: Primary consideration will be given for academic excellence.

LT.G. Douglas D. Buchholz Memorial Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarships to students connected to the US Military. Focus: Engineering; Mathematics; Physics; Communications. Qualif.: Applicants must be currently active enlisted soldiers assigned to Fort Gordon, Georgia; must have completed a minimum of 15 semester hours/25 quarter hours; must be currently enrolled either full or part time in an accredited US college; and must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on recommendation of Scholarship Board under the guidance of the Fort Gordon Command Sergeant Major.

Milton E. Cooper/Young AFCEAN Graduate Scholarships (Graduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support local chapters and promote education. Focus: Electronics; Communication. Qualif.: Applicants must be US citizens and young professionals currently employed in a field related to communications, computer science or electronics; must demonstrate strong commitment to the pursuit of advanced college degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) related to communications, computer science, electronics, electrical or systems engineering in preparation for a career in science or engineering; must have GPA of 3.2 or higher; must be currently enrolled in an accredited university or college in the United States. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on scholarship committee's review of application materials.

Disabled War Veterans Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide educational incentives, opportunities and assistance for people engaged in information management, communications and intelligence efforts and fostering excellence in education particularly in the “hard science” disciplines related to C4ISR. Focus: Engineering; Mathematics; Physics; Communications. Qualif.: Applicants must be currently enrolled and attending either a two year or four year in an accredited college or university in the United States; must be enrolled in an accredited distance learning or online degree granting program affiliated with major, accredited two year or four year college or university in the United States. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on academic excellence, leadership and financial need.

Lockheed Martin IT Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Criteria: Recipients are selected based from the qualified General Wickham Scholarship applicants.

Purpose: To provide scholarships to students connected with the US Military. Focus: Engineering; Mathematics; Physics; Communications. Qualif.: Applicants must be enrolled full time in a Bachelor of Science degree program in accredited colleges or universities in the United States; and must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 scale. Majors directly related to the support of US Intelligence enterprises or national security with relevance to the mission of AFCEA are also eligible. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on academic performance.
