Akron Bar Association Foundation Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarships to students enrolled in a law school. Focus: Law. Qualif.: Applicants must be citizens of the United States and in good academic standing with their respective schools. Applicants should demonstrate financial need, have an affiliation with Summit County, and demonstrate an established history of community involvement. Scholarship recipients are encouraged to become active members in the Akron Bar Association upon joining the legal profession. Criteria: Selection will be based on the committee's criteria.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: An applicant must submit the following requirements: a formal letter indicating how and why they became a law student, their connections to Summit County, their volunteer and extracurricular involvement and the reasons they deserve the award; a completed application form; a certified or verified transcript from their school; a copy of their Federal Income Tax Return; an updated resume; and two letters of recommendation from people familiar with their character.
