Wank, Roland Anthony
Wank, Roland Anthony (1898–1970). Hungarian-born architect, he was one of the most important designers of the International Modern style working in the USA. The series of dams and power-houses he produced for the Tennessee Valley Authority (1933–44) are recognized as his finest works. He also concerned himself with public housing: his Grand Street Housing, New York (1929–30), is his best-known achievement in this field.
