Semark, Henry

Semark, Henry (fl. 1482–d. 1534). English mason. From 1508 to 1515 he was one of the wardens of the masons at King's College Chapel, Cambridge, and worked with Wastell on the high vault from 1512. He also contributed to the eastern chapels at Peterborough Cathedral, Cambs., and the Abbey and St James's Church, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. It has also been suggested he built the fan-vault under the tower of Fotheringhay Church, Northants. (1528).
