Schnebli, Dolf (1928– ). Swiss architect. Although influenced by Le Corbusier, Gropius, and others, his work produced in his office in Ticino tended to move towards the formal language of the Ticinese School, notably with his severe Villa Meyer, Zurich (1986–7), which owes something to Classical symmetry and formalism. His designs for houses at Campione d'Italia and Carabbia, Ticino, aroused considerable interest in the 1960s, and made his reputation. Other works include Ruopigen Primary School, Littau (1975–6).
