Pabenham, Simon II

Pabenham, Simon II (fl. 1282–d. 1334). English master-mason. He worked at the Tower of London in the 1280s, and in 1293, with John de Bataile, he built the Eleanor Crosses at Northampton and St Albans. He became Master-Mason at the Tower of London (1307–11), and was involved in the implementation and enforcement of building-codes in the City of London from 1313.
