Friedberg, Marvin Paul

Friedberg, Marvin Paul (1931– ). American landscape-architect. He designed a number of hard-surfaced playgrounds in NYC, including Camper Plaza (1967), Cadman Plaza (1970), and River Plaza (1972). At Niagara Falls, NY, he designed a vast winter-garden, with a tree-lined avenue, water features, and tropical plants, all within a structure designed by Pelli. Among his other works may be cited Pershing Park, Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, DC (1979), and the Olympic Plaza, Calgary, Alberta, Canada (1988).
