Diner ★★★½ 1982 (R)

A group of old high school friends meet at “their” Baltimore diner to find that more has changed than the menu. A bittersweet look at the experiences of a group of Baltimore twentysomethings, circa 1959, who find adulthood hard to face. Particularly notable was Levinson's casting of “unknowns” who have since become household names. Features many humorous moments and fine performances. 110m/C VHS, DVD . Steve Guttenberg, Daniel Stern, Mickey Rourke, Kevin Bacon, Ellen Barkin, Timothy Daly, Paul Reiser, Michael Tucker, Jessica James, Kathryn Dowling, Colette Blonigan; D: Barry Levinson; W: Barry Levinson; C: Peter Sova; M: Bruce Brody, Ivan Kral. Natl. Soc. Film Critics '82: Support. Actor (Rourke).
