Montgomery's glands

Montgomery's glands (mŏnt-gom-er-iz) pl. n. sebaceous glands on the areola surrounding the nipple of a woman's breast. They enlarge during pregnancy and their secretions lubricate and protect the breast during breast feeding. [ W. F. Montgomery (1797–1859), Irish obstetrician]
