Buffalo hump
Buffalo hump (buf-ă-loh) n. excessive subcutaneous adipose tissue forming a hump on the back over the lower cervical (neck) and upper thoracic regions of the spine. It is seen classically in Cushing's syndrome but also in patients who are obese. Compare dowager's hump.
