BNP
BNP n. brain natriuretic peptide (see natriuretic peptide). BNP test measurement of the level of BNP in the blood, which is increased (>99 ng/l) in cases of congestive heart failure. The test is used to assess the degree of heart failure and monitor response to treatment.
