Jerry T. Kendall told CA: "My motivation for writing is to insure that the history of our town and county are preserved for future generations. I decided to do this type of research when I discovered that nothing had ever been written about some areas of our community. My work is simply the recording of facts and my experience as an investigator helped in obtaining and organizing data."
