SIDELIGHTS: Lucia Graves is known for her work on The Columbus Papers, where she served as the translator of Christopher Columbus's controversial Barcelona letter of 1493 into English. Working as an editor, Graves, daughter of Robert Graves (author of such well-known works as I, Claudius, Good-bye to All That, and The White Goddess) collected the entire canon of her father's popular stories and placed them in a single volume, Robert Graves: Complete Short Stories.

Graves also wrote an autobiographical work titled A Woman Unknown: Voices from a Spanish Life, in which she relates her experiences growing up in Spain.
