SIDELIGHTS: William Engelbrecht told CA: "After thirty-five years of research and the production of scholarly articles, I wanted to share some insights with the general public while I was still current in the field. I wrote Iroquoia: The Development of a Native World during a year's sabbatical leave. I enjoyed the process of writing and was pleased to receive an award for my efforts. In retirement I plan to try my hand at fiction. Initially, I will stick with what I know best: archaeological excavation and Native American culture."
