Zinck, Bendix (actually, Benedikt) Friedrich
Zinck, Bendix (actually, Benedikt) Friedrich, German instrumentalist and composer, brother of Hardenack Otto Conrad Zinck; b. Husum, Holstein (baptized), March 8, 1743; d. Ludwigslust, Mecklenburg, June 23,1801. He studied violin, harpsichord, and organ with his father, the town musician Bendix Friedrich Zinck. He was a violinist in the Ludwigslust Hofkapelle (1767-1801), and also toured as a violinist and keyboard artist in Europe. In 1781 he married the court singer Charlotte Nussbaum (1760-1817). Among his works are 15 syms., vocal pieces, and chamber music.
