Taubman, Howard
Taubman, Howard, American music and drama critic; b. N. Y, July 4, 1907; d. Sarasota, Fla., Jan. 8, 1996. He studied at Cornell Univ. (A.B., 1929). He joined the staff of the N.Y. Times in 1929, where he was its music ed. (1935-55), music critic (1955-60), drama critic (1960-66), and critic-at-large (1966-72).
