Soriano, Gonzalo

Soriano, Gonzalo, Spanish pianist; b. Alicante, March 14, 1913; d. Madrid, April 14, 1972. He studied with Cabiles in Madrid, and later with Cortot and Landowska at the Paris Cons. He made his debut in Alicante in 1929; pursued an active career in Europe; also gave concerts in the U.S. and the Far East. He was particularly noted for his congenial performances of Spanish music.
