Ponzo, Giuseppe

Ponzo, Giuseppe , Italian composer who flourished in the second half of the 18th century. He wrote the operas Demetrio (Genoa, Carnival 1759), Arianna e Teseo (Milan, Jan. 1762), Artaserse (Venice, Jan. 1766), and Il ré alla caccia (c. 1775). He also composed 6 sinfonie and other instrumental pieces, a Credo for 4 Voices and Instruments, arias, and duets.
