Mundy, William

Mundy, William, English composer, father of John Mundy; b. c. 1529; d. probably in London, Oct. 1591. He became head chorister at Westminster Abbey in 1543. In 1564 he was made vicar-choral at St. Paul’s Cathedral and a Gentleman of the Chapel Royal. He composed services, anthems, and Latin antiphons. See F.
