Minami, Satoshi
Minami, Satoshi, Japanese composer; b. Tokyo, July 17, 1955. He was a student of Teruyuki Noda and Toshirõ Mayazumi at the Tokyo National Univ. of Fine Arts and Music (degree, 1983). He won 2nd prize in the Japan Music Competition (1983) and at the World Buddhist Music Festival (1986). His concept of “music on the pluralistic structure” is exemplified in his UTA no KAGE yori (1990).
