Luvisi, Lee
Luvisi, Lee, American pianist and teacher; b. Louisville, Dec. 12, 1937. He studied at the Curtis Inst. of Music in Philadelphia with Serkin and Horszowski, and upon his graduation in 1957 joined its faculty. In 1963 he was named artist-in-residence at the Univ. of Louisville School of Music, and later became chairman of its piano dept. He appeared as soloist with many of the major American and European orchs., and also gave numerous recitals. In 1983 he became a member of the Chamber Music. Soc. of Lincoln Center in N.Y.
