Kulenty, Hanna
Kulenty, Hanna, Polish composer; b. Bialystok, March 18, 1961. She studied composition with Wtodz-imierz Kotonski at the Warsaw Academy of Music (1980–86) and with Louis Andriessen at the Royal Cons, of Music in The Hague (1986–88). In 1990-91 she was in Berlin under the auspices of the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst. Her music makes use of various advanced techniques, including an extensive employment of glissandos, toward a personal style she describes as “polyphony of the arcs.”
