Kaufmann, Armin, Romanian-born Austrian composer; b. Itzkany, Bukovina, Oct. 30, 1902; d. Vienna, June 30, 1980. In 1914 his family settled in Vienna, where he enrolled at the Academy of Music, studying theory with Joseph Marx. From 1938 to 1966 he played the viola in the Vienna Sym. Orch.
