Jehin, Léon

Jehin, Léon, Belgian conductor; b. Spa, July 17, 1853; d. Monte Carlo, Feb. 14, 1928. He was trained in Liège and Brussels. He conducted at the Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels (1882–93), the Paris Opéra (1889–93), at Covent Garden in London (1891–92), and in Monte Carlo. His wife was (Marie-) Blanche Deschamps- Jehin .
