Huristone, William (Yeates)

Huristone, William (Yeates), English pianist and composer; b. London, Jan. 7, 1876; d. there, May 30, 1906. A precocious musician, he composed waltzes as a young child. He studied at the Royal Coll. of Music in London with Stanford (composition) and Edward Dan-nreuther (piano), performing his own Piano Concerto in 1896. In 1905 he was appointed a prof, at the Royal Coll. of Music, but died in the following year; his early death was much regretted.
