Hadzidakis, Manos

Hadzidakis, Manos, Greek composer; b. Xanthi, Macedonia, Oct. 23, 1925; d. Athens, June 15, 1994. He wrote piano pieces in an advanced idiom, recalling Prokofiev, then turned to film music. He became best known for his theme song composed for the film released in America under the title Never on Sunday (I960).
