Glover, William Howard
Glover, William Howard, English conductor and composer; b. London, June 6, 1819; d. N.Y., Oct. 28, 1875. He played the violin in the Lyceum Theater orch. in London, and conducted opera in Manchester, Liver-pool, and London. In 1868 he went to N.Y., where he was conductor at Niblo’s Garden until his death.
