Giles, Nathaniel
Giles, Nathaniel, English organist and composer;b. Worcester, c. 1558; d. Windsor, Jan. 24, 1634. He studied at Oxford. He was organist at Worcester Cathedral from 1581 to 1585, when he became clerk, organist, and choirmaster at St. George′s Chapel, Windsor; in 1597, became Gentleman and Master of the Children. He wrote 3 services for the church, many anthems, several motets, and 2 madrigals for 4 and 5 Voices.
