Foucquet Pierre-Claude

Foucquet, Pierre-Claude, French organist and composer; b. Paris, c. 1694; d. there, Feb. 13, 1772. He was born into a family of organists. After serving at St. Honore, the Abbey of St. Victor, and St. Eustache, he became organist of the Royal Chapel in 1758. He also was one of the four organists at Notre Dame from 1761. He publ. 3 vols. of harpsichord music (Paris, 1749–51).
