Formes Theodor
Formes, Theodor, German tenor, brother of Karl Johann Formes ; b. Mülheim, June 24, 1826; d. Endenich, near Bonn, Oct. 15, 1874. He made his debut at Of en (1846); then sang in Vienna (1848) and Berlin (1851–66); made a tour in America with his brother. He lost his voice temporarily. After returning to the stage for a few years, he suffered a setback, became insane, and died in an asylum.
